About

Boutique service in a market that rewards relationships.

Halcyon was founded because the biggest agencies in Austin had gotten too big to care. Small roster, deep market knowledge, direct access to the agents making the decisions.

Claire Ashworth, founder of Halcyon Real Estate Group

Why we built a smaller firm on purpose

Claire Ashworth spent six years at one of Austin's highest-volume brokerages before founding Halcyon in 2009. The volume was there. So was the churn — new clients every week, thin attention per transaction, agents more focused on the next listing than the current close.

Halcyon runs differently. Three agents. A deliberate cap on active listings and buyer clients at any one time. The goal: every client gets real access — to the people making decisions, to the market information that actually matters, to advice that reflects their situation rather than the firm's incentives.

Fifteen years of that approach has produced 250+ closed transactions across central Austin, a 4.9-star average across 187+ reviews, and an average days-on-market of 11 — well below the Austin metro average.

What we hold ourselves to

Direct advice

If the home is overpriced for what you need, we say so. If the offer structure is weak, we fix it. We work for our clients, not for a commission on any particular property.

Neighborhood-first knowledge

Central Austin isn't one market — it's thirty blocks with different micro-dynamics. Our advice is block-specific, not city-wide.

Access above all

Off-market inventory, early knowledge of upcoming listings, relationships with the agents who control the most sought-after properties. That access is the product.
