About the practice

Cedar Park's family dentist since 2003.

Dr. Maya Patel opened Cedar Park Family Dental more than two decades ago with a clear conviction: dental care should feel warm, not clinical. Since then, the practice has grown to a full team of three — but the feeling in the office has stayed exactly the same.

We treat patients of every age, from first-tooth toddlers to grandparents, and we work hard to make every visit something your family actually looks forward to. We listen, we explain, and we never pressure you into treatment you don't need.

New patients

Your first visit, step by step.

We've made the new-patient experience simple and transparent. Here's what to expect from booking to walking out the door.

Schedule online or call

Book through our website in under two minutes, or call us and a real person answers. We'll find a time that fits your schedule — evenings and select Saturdays available.

Easy paperwork before you arrive

We send new-patient forms digitally so you can fill them out at home. No clipboard in the waiting room, no 20-minute delay before your appointment begins.

Comprehensive new-patient exam

Dr. Patel or Dr. Lee will spend time with you — not just look in your mouth and leave. You'll see your X-rays, understand what they show, and get honest answers to every question you have.

Personalized care plan

You'll leave with a clear written plan: what we recommend, the order of priority, and what it costs. No pressure, no surprises. Just a roadmap so you can make informed decisions.

Insurance & financing

We work with your plan.

We're in-network with most major dental plans. Not sure about yours? Call us — we can verify coverage same-day and will always give you a clear cost estimate before any treatment begins.

CareCredit & payment plans available

We offer CareCredit financing and in-house payment plans for larger treatment plans. We accept all major credit cards and HSA/FSA cards. You'll always know the cost before treatment starts.

Patient stories

What Cedar Park families say.

My kids actually LOOK FORWARD to the dentist now. My 7-year-old asked when we could come back after her last cleaning. I've been to probably six different dental offices over the years — none of them come close to the warmth here.

David T.

Patient since 2018

I've been coming here for eight years. Every single visit is the same: thorough, friendly, never rushed. Dr. Patel found a hairline crack on an X-ray that could have become a root canal if she hadn't caught it. That preventive approach has saved me thousands of dollars.

Kristen M.

Patient since 2016

I cracked a tooth on a Saturday and was in real pain. Called at 8am and was seen by 10. They took care of it completely, explained every step, and I left without pain. I'd been to an 'emergency dentist' before who squeezed me in and rushed me out — this was the complete opposite.

Common questions

Questions we hear often.

Yes — we're always welcoming new patients and families. You can book your first appointment online or call us at (512) 555-0182. New patient appointments include a comprehensive exam, full set of X-rays (if you don't have recent ones), and a cleaning with one of our hygienists.

We're in-network with most major plans including Delta Dental, Cigna, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, MetLife, Guardian, and United Concordia. If your plan isn't listed, call us — we can usually verify coverage same-day and will always give you a clear cost estimate before any treatment begins.

Call us first — (512) 555-0182. We hold same-day slots specifically for emergencies and typically get urgent patients in within a few hours. For after-hours situations, our voicemail includes guidance on what to do and when to go to an emergency room versus waiting for us.

Yes. We offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas) for mild anxiety and oral sedation for patients who need deeper relaxation. Both are safe, reversible, and available for routine and complex procedures. If you've avoided the dentist because of anxiety, please tell us when you book — we'll make sure your appointment is designed around your comfort.

It's one of the things we're most proud of. We see children as young as 12 months for first visits, and our team has a genuine gift for making kids comfortable. Parents regularly tell us their children are no longer afraid of the dentist after coming here. We go slowly, explain every step in kid-friendly language, and never rush.

It depends on what you're looking for. Professional whitening takes one to two weeks with a take-home kit. Bonding for a chip can often be done in a single appointment. Clear aligner treatment typically runs 6–18 months depending on complexity. We always start with a consultation so you know exactly what's involved and what it costs before committing.

We accept all major credit cards, HSA/FSA cards, and offer CareCredit financing for larger treatment plans. We also work with patients on payment plans for out-of-pocket balances. We will never start treatment without giving you a clear cost breakdown first.

Most patients do best with cleanings every six months. Patients with gum disease, a history of heavy buildup, or certain systemic health conditions may benefit from coming every three to four months. Your hygienist will give you a personalized recommendation based on what they see.
